Onward Together, Latino Victory Fund, and you

Pat --

Last spring, I got an interesting call from Secretary Clinton.

The first thing she did was congratulate me on the birth of my newborn daughter. The second thing she did was offer Latino Victory Fund a partnership with Onward Together, including a significant grant to make sure that Latino voices were heard in the midterm elections.

Because of that phone call, LVF was able to scale up our work in the midterm elections big time. We increased the number of candidates we were able to support up 500% from the last election, trained hundreds of people on how to organize for their candidates, and helped flip House seats by electing smart, powerful Latinos.

Onward Together’s help has gone beyond the midterms, too: This summer, we were able to make a significant investment in Power 4 Puerto Rico, a coalition of organizations and leaders from around the country advocating for legislation that will support a just recovery and economy for the people of Puerto Rico.

All of this is to say that when you make a donation to Onward Together, you aren’t just powering one organization -- you’re reaching every part of this movement to make our country better. Chip in $25 before the year ends, and help us all do more in 2019:

¡Gracias!

A note from Hillary:

In the months leading up to President Obama’s re-election, the Futuro Fund was founded to ensure that Latino voices in critical states and nationwide were being heard and their votes both fought for and counted. When they saw exactly what supporting and funding Latino voters and issues could do, Latino Victory -- a progressive organization working to build political power so that the voices of Latinos are reflected at every level of government and in the policies that drive our country forward -- was born.

With support from Onward Together, Latino Victory Fund increased their candidates from 15 in 2016 to 58 this fall -- and of those 58 candidates, 75% won in November.

Latino Victory Fund wasn’t born in the wake of the 2016 election, but the team there knew that lifting up the voices of Latinos was going to be more important than ever in the face of a the hate speech coming from the White House. I’m so proud of the historical gains they’ve made, and look forward to continuing to work alongside them to grow Latino political power across the country.

Onward!

Hillary
