There is remarkable energy and momentum for our party right now -- and our job in these final weeks before the election is to leave no voter behind.

This is the last week of primaries in 2018 -- and I've got some great news I wanted to share with you: Democratic turnout in contested House primaries through June was almost double what it was four years ago. When you consider what's happening across the country, it's not hard to see why. Here are a few of my favorite facts from primary season: Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams, and Ben Jealous could make history as the first Black governors of Florida, Georgia, and Maryland, respectively. So many Democrats voted in the Idaho primary back in May that many precincts ran out of ballots! Voters there nominated Paulette Jordan, who could become the first Native American woman to serve as governor. In Minnesota, primary voter turnout increased by 206 percent compared to 2014. Turnout in the New Hampshire Democratic primary crushed previous records with 120,000 ballots cast -- nearly twice the number of ballots cast in the last record year of 2002. There is remarkable energy and momentum for our party right now -- and our job in these final weeks before the election is to leave no voter behind. I know we can bring a record number of voters out to the polls, but only if we come together right now to mobilize Democrats in every state during these final weeks.
