 I'm fired up to be the Democratic nominee for governor of my home state of Maryland, and to be joining one of the most diverse, progressive slates of nominees the Democratic Party has ever seen. This November I have the chance to become Maryland's first black governor -- but I'm not the only one who can make history. This election cycle, our party is seeing unprecedented numbers of first-time candidates, women, LGBTQ candidates, and people of color running for office. We have the opportunity to make history together while electing incredible candidates who will fight to protect our values. But time is running out to help us win, Pat. The DNC is the only Democratic organization that supports candidates at all levels -- and your contribution will make a huge difference in the final sprint towards Election Day.
