re: conflicts of interest

Trump's nominees are on the Hill for confirmation this week.
DemocratsJoin us.
Republicans want to rush Donald Trump's nominees through the confirmation process before they've been fully vetted by the public and government ethics watchdogs. Add your name and stand with Senate Democrats to demand a full and thorough review of Trump's nominees:

Rex Tillerson, Trump's pick for Secretary of State, is a former Exxon CEO who had billions of dollars tied up in deals with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Energy Secretary nominee Rick Perry sat on a board that wants to build the Dakota Access Pipeline. Tom Price might have violated the law by trading health care stocks while working on health care legislation in Congress and is set to become Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Donald Trump's Cabinet nominees are just like him -- they have business ties and personal interests that could influence how they do their jobs. But Senate Republicans are attempting to rush their confirmations through before the Office of Government Ethics has time to properly review each nominee for conflicts of interest.

Add your name: tell Senate Republicans to let the Office of Government Ethics do its job and vet Trump's nominees.

This isn't a coincidence. Senate Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell, scheduled hearings for several nominees this week, even as the federal government's ethics watchdog warned that many of the nominees have not completed their ethics reviews or submitted their financial disclosure reports yet.

In 2009, McConnell demanded a full ethics review before President Obama's nominees could be brought to the floor -- what he called "common sense standards" at the time.

But it seems like McConnell has developed a case of convenient amnesia in his rush to do Donald Trump's bidding. So we're calling him out -- sign on and demand a full ethics review of all of Donald Trump's nominees to prevent conflicts of interest and corruption among our nation's top officials:
