Hi there -- sorry to bother you, but this is important.
I’ve been keeping a close eye on our fundraising numbers. And I’m sorry to tell you that, after lower than expected fundraising around the debate, donations have continued to stay behind pace a bit. Let me explain why this is concerning: I know it might seem like donating with just nine days left won’t make a difference, but we set a non-negotiable final goal of $100 million to raise in the last days of October. This number isn’t arbitrary, it’s what we need to fund our final ads budgets.
We can’t afford to scale back our ads plan, not with pro-Trump groups like America First Action and Preserve America pouring millions of dollars into ads in Electoral College battleground states. We have to play defense now more than ever.
We rely on grassroots donations to counter those ads, but we’re behind where my budget projections had us today. I’m getting a little worried here. Can you chip in right now to make sure we don’t fall short of our $100 million end-of-month goal? If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | | We thoughtfully calculate our fundraising goals to make sure we have the resources to empower volunteers, run ads on TV and online, and more. This is the voter outreach we need to do to win the states that will get us to 270 electoral college votes -- states like Florida, where a recent poll had us and Trump tied, 48% to 48%.
And according to our state-by-state projections, we’re counting on $74,130 more coming in from your state before tonight ends or we'll stay behind pace. If we fall short in your state, we will fall short on this goal, it’s that simple.
And if we fall short, we’ll need to make cuts from our final budgets. And with just nine days left, we can’t let that happen.
So please, chip in $25 or whatever you can spare today: If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | | Thank you so much,
