Pat, President Barack Obama emailed you before last week's debate asking you to make a contribution to the Democratic Unity Fund. Did you read it?
In his message to you, he reminded us that our unity is our greatest strength. That we are stronger as one team than we are fighting alone. No one candidate can win on their own -- which is why supporting the Democratic Unity Fund ahead of tonight's midnight deadline has never been more vital for the future of our party.
Please read Obama's important ask of you, and then make a $7 investment in the Democratic Unity Fund before midnight. We wouldn't be coming to you if it weren't absolutely vital to our future nominee and victory nationwide in 2020.
Yours,
Tom

Subject: Hey
Pat --
I'm writing to ask you to make an investment in the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund before our Democratic presidential primary candidates take the stage tonight. Before I do that, I want to explain why I launched this initiative alongside the DNC, and why supporting it with a contribution before tonight's debate is so important for 2020.
I helped launch the Democratic Unity Fund because, no matter what happens on that stage tonight or even who ultimately becomes our party's nominee, we can't win the White House and seats down the ballot without a strong, unified Democratic Party. The DNC is ground zero for supporting Democratic campaigns, state parties, and our future nominee for president -- and there is no other party committee responsible for supporting Democrats in every state, at every level.
I know how tough it is to win a presidential election, Pat. I've done it twice. That's why I can tell you with certainty that your support for our party early on will make an extraordinary difference in Democrats' ability to compete and win next year. That is why I'm asking you to do something very important today:
Will you make a $7 contribution to the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund before the Democratic presidential primary candidates take the stage in Atlanta tonight? Any amount you can afford to invest -- big or small -- will bring us closer to winning the White House and seats in all 50 states.
