I'm running for president to break the corporate stranglehold on our democracy, combat the climate crisis, and build an economy that puts people first. But none of that will happen without a strong Democratic Party, Pat. Mr. Trump and the corporate interests bankrolling his campaign have already hired hundreds of organizers and run hundreds of thousands of ads. Their reelection infrastructure grows bigger and stronger every day -- and we have to keep up. The DNC is the core group building the operation to hand over to our eventual nominee, whoever they may be, so we can win in 2020. But the success of that operation depends on you. Make a $3 contribution that will be split evenly between my campaign and the Democratic Unity Fund to help build the infrastructure Democrats will need to win up and down the ticket next year.
I'm running for president because my parents taught me that when you see a problem, you do every single thing you can to try to fix it. My father quit his job as a lawyer to join the Navy after Pearl Harbor and then helped prosecute Nazis at Nuremberg. And my mother taught at the Brooklyn House of Detention. They lived their lives by showing up -- and that's how I learned the importance of doing everything we can to lift others up. It is with that spirit that I'm running for president. To truly push for a better America, we can't just win the White House next year. We have to take back the Senate and maintain our House majority, too. That will require a strong Democratic Party backing our nominee and thousands of Democratic candidates down ballot. The Democratic National Committee is showing up to work every day to make sure Democrats can spread our message, mobilize voters, and get out the vote nationwide in 2020. The DNC is relying on grassroots supporters like you to make your first donation to the Democratic Unity Fund today to support that work. Donate $3 to my campaign and the Democratic Unity Fund today so we can win next year. Thank you for your support! Tom Steyer |
Sending fundraising emails like this one is a component of our Democratic candidates’ agreement with the DNC to share access to the DNC’s database of voter records. As a part of our agreement, every candidate who signs on sends the same number of emails to the DNC’s list, with proceeds going to a combination of the DNC and the candidate’s campaign. If you’re wondering why you’re not hearing from your preferred candidate, we may have already sent emails on their behalf or have plans to do so in the future, or they may not have signed on yet. The DNC is committed to running a fair and transparent primary. This organization is powered by you, and we'd love to hear your ideas. Just reply to this email to send any comments, criticisms, or feedback. Our community management team reads every message from supporters like you. Thanks for supporting our party!
