Pat, please answer this call

I know firsthand the difference that a strong DNC can make in winning or losing a race.
Join us.
The following message is a part of our 2020 Presidential Candidate Series. For more information, see below.

$180 million, Pat. That's the staggering number Donald Trump and the RNC have already raised this year for his reelection.

Trump is a coward whose hatred and division is tearing apart the moral fabric of our country. We cannot let him win four more years in the White House. But his massive war chest is a lot to go up against.

The honest truth is that our party's eventual nominee will have to do a lot of work to keep up from the very start of next year's general election -- and they're going to need the DNC to provide a strong party operation the moment the general election starts. Building that will take all of us fully supporting the Democratic Unity Fund.

Folks at DNC HQ are working hard to build the robust organization and infrastructure we'll need to keep pace with Republicans and give our eventual nominee a shot at victory. That means whoever ultimately becomes our nominee will need a well-prepared and well-resourced DNC, which is why I have to ask you today:

Will you make a $3 donation to my campaign and the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund today? Every dollar you give to the Unity Fund will build the party infrastructure we need to win up and down the ballot in 2020.

If we really want to fix the mess Trump and his GOP allies have made, we can't let our sole focus be the Oval Office, Pat. We're going to need a Democratic House and Senate on our side to pass meaningful change for America's families in the years ahead. Winning those chambers requires the Democratic Party heavily invest in the infrastructure to spread our message, mobilize voters, and get out the vote nationwide.

I know firsthand the difference that a strong party support system can make in winning or losing a race. In my first House race, I ran in a two-to-one Republican district (the only person who thought I could win was my mother, and that is not a joke). But thanks in part to a whole lot of support from our party, I won my first race. And, when I ran again, I won that district by 24 points.

The DNC is the only official party committee working to elect Democrats from the state house all the way up to the White House. Their strength is key to keeping Donald Trump and his record fundraising from running up the score on us -- and we're counting on grassroots supporters like you to make that happen, Pat.

Donate $3 to my campaign and the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund so we can win the White House and seats in all 50 states in 2020.

Thank you,

Kirsten

P.S. This Democratic primary is going to be a marathon, and whoever our eventual nominee is will need the full force of a strong Democratic Party at their back to ensure they have a fair shot at beating Trump. That's why I'm asking: Will you donate $3 to my campaign and the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund today?

Our 2020 Presidential Candidate Series is just one way we’re working to help our supporters hear directly from the Democratic candidates for president.

Sending fundraising emails like this one is a component of our Democratic candidates’ agreement with the DNC to share access to the DNC’s database of voter records. As a part of our agreement, every candidate who signs on sends the same number of emails to the DNC’s list, with proceeds going to a combination of the DNC and the candidate’s campaign. If you’re wondering why you’re not hearing from your preferred candidate, we may have already sent emails on their behalf or have plans to do so in the future, or they may not have signed on yet.

The DNC is committed to running a fair and transparent primary. This organization is powered by you, and we'd love to hear your ideas. Just reply to this email to send any comments, criticisms, or feedback. Our community management team reads every message from supporters like you. Thanks for supporting our party!
