Pat, here are my takeaways from primary season:

Democrats have a lot to be proud of, Pat. Take a look at what we've accomplished together this month alone:

DemocratsJoin us.
Democrats have a lot to be proud of, Pat. I'm still new at the DNC, but I am fired up about what we've accomplished together this month:
  • Women are being nominated across the country -- in fact, women make up about half of the Democratic nominees for Senate, House, and governor in races without a Democratic incumbent -- a historically high number that could lead to a record number of women serving in Congress next year.
  • Democrats have nominated a historic number of women candidates for governor this year.
  • Stacey Abrams, the Democratic nominee for governor in Georgia, could be our nation's first African American, woman governor in history.
  • Democrat Christine Hallquist is the first openly transgender candidate to win a major party nomination for governor in Vermont. If elected, she would be the first transgender governor in history.
  • We've nominated 10 LGBTQ candidates in House races without a Democratic incumbent -- meaning that we're poised to double the number of LGBTQ people in Congress this November.
  • One of those candidates, Sharice Davids, could be the first openly gay woman to represent Kansas in Congress and one of the first Native American women to ever serve in Congress.
  • In other groundbreaking wins, Ilhan Omar is poised to be one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress and Jahana Hayes is positioned to be Connecticut's first African American woman elected to Congress.
  • Dozens of competitive congressional races have shifted towards Democrats. There are more than 100 GOP-held districts that are more competitive than PA-18, the first congressional seat we flipped this cycle. We need to flip 23 Republican-held seats to take back the House.
  • And according to the Cook Political Report, 37 GOP-held seats are now rated as 'Toss Ups' or are more vulnerable -- nearly double than the 20 they counted in January.
  • Democratic primary turnout for House races has increased by more than 80% compared to the 2014 midterm elections.
These early numbers are very encouraging, Pat. They show we have a real opportunity to protect voting rights, expand civil rights, fix our criminal justice system, restore economic dignity for every single American, defend immigrant rights, and make health care a right for all.

Our ability to make real progress on these issues comes down to electing Democrats in 2018, 2019, and 2020. So I'm asking:

You've contributed to the Democratic Party in the past, Pat -- and I can't thank you enough. Can I count on you to renew your support by contributing $3 right now to help elect Democrats nationwide?

Everything we do between now and Election Day will determine our ability to turn these early promising numbers into actual wins this year, in 2019, and beyond. It's clear that we have an incredible slate of candidates and a country that is ready to elect Democrats -- but this momentum won't turn into victories this November without your help, Pat.

We've seen time and time again just how far Republicans will go to protect their majorities and Donald Trump -- so we have to do everything possible to support our state parties and campaigns who are deploying their mobilizing and organizing efforts this month.

Can I count on you to step up and make your first $3 contribution of 2018 today to support Democratic candidates in all 50 states? Now's the best time to support Democrats who are ready to win in November.

Thanks for all you do,

Seema

P.S. Everything we do between now and Election Day will determine our ability to turn these early promising numbers into actual wins in November, in 2020, and beyond. If you are able, make your first $3 contribution of 2018 to elect Democrats nationwide.
