That was bad

DemocratsJoin us.
Well, I wasn't sure it was possible, but the Republican candidates for president have managed to outdo themselves yet again.

During tonight's debate, they said some pretty damn offensive stuff -- like Donald Trump now tripling down on his thoroughly offensive anti-immigrant rhetoric in three consecutive debates, and Marco Rubio actually defending his refusal to show up and do his job in the Senate -- but what they didn't say was just as bad.

Tonight marks three long Republican debates, and we still haven't heard real solutions to issues like the income inequality that divides our nation, the serious threat of man-made climate change, or the institutional racism that's still very present in American lives. And we certainly didn't hear about making access to reproductive health care easier for women or ensuring a pathway to citizenship for those who simply want to get in line, pay taxes, and be a part of this country.

Watching this was tough -- it's really hard to see this crowd stand up on a stage facing millions of viewers and be so utterly disrespectful. And yeah, it makes me pretty mad. But it's not enough to just get mad. We have to get engaged.

So I'm asking you to get active and fight back against this extreme right-wing agenda. We still need 5,162 more online donations before our end-of-month deadline on Saturday -- will you be one of them?

If you've saved your payment information, your donation will go through immediately.

Thank you so much for pitching in. I know that if we can all channel our anger to action, we're going to win this thing and keep Republicans out of the White House.
