I'm hitting the ground running!

Democrats
Friend --

Talk about hitting the ground running! It's my second week as Communications Director here at the DNC, and I'm about to head out to Las Vegas for our first Democratic primary debate (on CNN next Tuesday night at 9:00 p.m. ET).

I'm grateful to be serving the Democratic Party at this historic moment as we prepare to elect the 45th President of the United States. And here's why I feel pretty good about my job: Our party's message is the one the American people want to hear -- expanding opportunities and continuing to move our country forward. I was fortunate enough to serve in President Obama's administration at a time when millions of Americans gained access to health care they previously couldn't afford and millions more were able to get back to work, thanks to the longest streak of private-sector job growth on record.

Now, I'm ready for the next chapter. I can't wait to hear our five great candidates lay out their plans to build on our progress next week -- and I'd love it if you could join me in Las Vegas to see the debate in person!

The DNC will fly one lucky winner and a guest to Las Vegas to see Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley, Lincoln Chafee, and Jim Webb take the stage next Tuesday night.

Flights, hotel, and VIP passes on debate night are on us -- all you have to do is chip in $10 or whatever you can today to be automatically entered.

It's my team's job to make sure that what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas -- we want everyone to hear the great ideas our candidates have, especially in contrast to the noise coming from the GOP field these last few months. It'll be a crazy few days, but also a lot of fun. I hope to see you there!

Good luck,

Luis
