Let's get caught up

DemocratsJoin us.
As the DNC's Research Director, I deal in facts. Facts about health care, facts about energy policy, and these days -- with 16 candidates crowding the field -- facts about the Republican presidential hopefuls.

So here's one for you: Tonight's GOP primary debate is going to be a damn spectacle.

And here's another -- a whole lot of nonsense has gone down since the first debate last month. In case you need a refresher, here are some highlights:
  • Donald Trump has continued his one-man circus, offending people from one corner of the country to the other, pushing the Republican field even further to the right as a result. Oh, and he's polling at 32%, the clear frontrunner!
  • Speaking of hugging the right, Marco Rubio vowed to roll back the action the President has taken to fight climate change, pledging to repeal the Clean Power Plan in its entirety.
  • Jeb Bush released his tax plan last week, and -- surprise, surprise -- it does great things for Jeb Bush, who would've personally saved about $800,000 in a single year, under his plan.
  • And just a couple of days ago, Scott Walker unveiled a plan to restrict unions, promising to cut benefits for workers and making it more difficult for hard-working Americans to earn a decent wage. (He also recently introduced a plan to repeal Obamacare, but considering all 16 of the Republicans running for president have promised to scrap our progress on health care, that's not exactly news.)
I know this all sounds pretty ridiculous. That's because it is. But unfortunately, these candidates all truly believe they should be the next President of the United States. And it's our job to hold them accountable when they try to put forth their absurd and out-of-touch policy ideas.

Tonight's debate starts at 8:00 p.m. ET -- RSVP now to say you'll be watching:
