The first ballots of this general election will go out tomorrow, Pat.
I'm telling you this because it's an important wake up call -- a reminder that the future of our democracy is being decided not just 61 days from now, but right now. And that we urgently need to finish the work of getting out the vote in our most critical battlegrounds.
That's why the DNC has created the GOTV Fund. Getting out the vote looks a lot different this year because so many people will be voting early and by mail, so it's more important than ever that we do everything in our power to reach our voters where they are to encourage early, safe voting. Every dollar raised towards our GOTV Fund in these final few weeks will help our party call, text, and mobilize voters to the polls, as well as fund our most crucial programs. But truth be told, we're still not where we need to be in order to help get out the vote for our candidates through these final weeks, which is why I'm coming to you today.
Will you make a $7 contribution to the DNC's GOTV Fund? With folks beginning to fill out their ballots as early as tomorrow, time is quickly running out for us to invest meaningfully in races up and down the ballot.
I know I don't need to tell you just what's at stake if we don't capitalize on the final weeks of this election, but it bears repeating: Without a successful GOTV push, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris could fall short of taking back the White House; competitive Senate candidates like Mark Kelly, Sara Gideon, and Jaime Harrison might not flip the Senate; and House members in tough districts could fall short, leaving our majority in jeopardy.
I know you won't let this happen, Pat, and we've built the infrastructure to help ensure that it doesn't. But without a fully funded GOTV Fund, we could risk coming up short of the resources we need to mobilize and educate voters in this unprecedented election and endanger important Democratc victories.
I'll ask again, Pat: Will you make a $7 contribution to the GOTV Fund today? Turning out voters is the Democratic Party's most important responsibility, and the DNC is counting on your support to do it successfully.
Thanks for all of your hard work.
In unity,
Tom

P.S. So many close races will depend on our efforts in these final weeks, and the first ballots of this historic election will go out as early as tomorrow. Everything is riding on how well Democrats can get out the vote. Chip in $7 to our GOTV Fund today to help the DNC turn out voters and win the White House, flip the Senate, and hold our House majority.
