Pat,
We saw two vastly different types of leadership during last night's presidential debate. While Joe Biden outlined a vision for a unified, big-hearted America, Trump doubled down on the same blind partisanship and divisive rhetoric he's been pushing since he was on the campaign trail four years ago.
So much of who we are as Americans is at stake in this election. And while our choice could not be clearer, the road to get there will be tough.
The closer we get to Election Day, the more Donald Trump and his allies are showing they will push our democratic institutions to their limits in their relentless pursuit of power. Right now is the time to focus on doing everything we can to elect Joe, Kamala, and Democratic candidates running in key races around the country who will pull us back from the brink. Take it from me -- this final month of the campaign will be among the toughest yet, which is why I have to ask, Pat:
If you're able, will you make a $7 donation to the DNC before tonight's final end-of-quarter deadline? Every donation our party receives before this midnight deadline will help Democrats get closer to winning the White House and seats all across our country.
In 2016, Trump asked: "What do you have to lose?" Well, Pat, we now know the answer to that question. The safety of our loved ones, our health care, our jobs, and so much more are all at stake in this election. We simply cannot afford to come up short or take a single vote for granted.
If you've been sitting on the sidelines waiting for a moment or an invitation to get involved in this race -- this is it. I hope that when we all look back at this moment, we can all say that we did everything we could to fight for our democracy. That's why I need to ask one more time:
Can I count on you to step up today, before the last quarterly deadline of this race, and rush a donation of $7 to the DNC to support Joe, Kamala, and down-ballot Democrats across the country?
This race will be decided not on November 3, but in the critical days and weeks ahead of Election Day. Please don't sit this one out.
In solidarity,
Hillary
Hillary Clinton
P.S. I know how difficult these final weeks will be. Trump and his allies will throw everything they can at Joe, Kamala, and Democrats across this country. We must be prepared to fight back, and that can't happen without Democrats like you. Pat, if you can, please rush a $7 donation to the DNC before tonight's final quarterly deadline to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
