Pat,
Wednesday marks the last end-of-quarter FEC deadline of this election, which is why I'm respectfully asking you to make an important $7 contribution to the Democratic Unity Fund. Before I do, please let me explain why your donation before this deadline will make a bigger impact on this race than that same gift made in the final days before November 3.
On Tuesday night, we will all watch my dear friend, my brother, Joe Biden, share his vision for our nation on the debate stage. It's decision time for folks across America. Right now, we still have the power to make a tangible difference on the outcome of this race by getting out the vote -- but with every passing day that folks vote early, the number of votes that Joe, Kamala, and Democrats nationwide still have time to earn grows smaller and smaller.
That's why the Democratic Unity Fund will be so crucial, Pat. We can't risk letting the Biden-Harris campaign or Democratic campaigns in tight races go underfunded in these final weeks so, with just a few days until the last quarterly deadline of this election, I'm asking you to join me in taking action:
Will you donate your first $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund? Any amount you can give before this week's deadline will make a bigger difference in our work now than it would in the last few days leading up to Election Day. I've gotten to know Joe Biden very well over the past decade, and of all the things I admire about him, one thing that's always defined Joe in my mind is that he has never once forgotten what public service is about. He knows this race is about more than just him. It's about preserving the highest ideals of America. It's about you, Pat. And it's about all of us.
I've run -- and won -- a presidential campaign twice, so believe me when I say that we barely have any time left to put in the work that will get Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Democrats in every corner of our country elected. I believe we can win, but only if we do this together. I need you with me.
Contribute $7, or whatever makes sense for your budget right now, to the Democratic Unity Fund before this week's quarterly deadline. If you can spare a couple of bucks today, I mean it when I say that your contribution will impact our work to get out the vote over these final weeks.
Yours,
Barack
Barack Obama
P.S. I announced the Democratic Unity Fund one year ago because I knew then what I still know today: The results of this election will echo for generations. Wednesday at midnight marks the last quarterly deadline of this election, so please chip in $7 directly to the fund if you can. Your support means so much.
