I need to share something personal with you, Pat

Taking on Donald Trump and the Republicans will require a coordinated, unified effort.
DemocratsJoin us.

In just a minute, I'm going to ask you to split your first $10 contribution between my campaign and the Democratic Unity Fund at this pivotal moment in this race. Before I do that, I want to share something personal with you that's kept me focused through these recent difficult months:

Pat, when I would walk out of my grandpa's house in Scranton, he would tell me, "Joey, keep the faith." My grandmother would always yell back, "No, Joey, spread it. Spread the faith."

And those words have stayed with me. To me, "Keep the faith" has always been more than just a saying, and it's certainly been more than a campaign slogan. It's a call to keep moving forward, to keep believing, to keep doing what's right even when the path ahead is murky and the goal feels far away.

Now more than ever, we must keep pushing forward. We must not get discouraged. Most of all, we must not lose sight of the task at hand. I won't lie to you and say that I can fix all of our country's problems. But, Pat, I can promise with all my heart that I'll try my hardest to fulfill this nation's founding principles and do right for future generations.

You and I have the opportunity this November to choose the path of optimism, equality, and justice for all -- but that won't happen unless we defeat Donald Trump and his Republican enablers to enact the transformative change America so badly needs. I'm humbled to be your Democratic nominee, but our fight will undoubtedly be an uphill battle. That's why I'm asking you to make an important commitment to this campaign right now, while your donation can still make a tangible difference in the outcome on November 3.

Please split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund. I believe we can win if we invest in this work early, but together -- and only together -- can we build the powerful grassroots team it will take to win back the soul of our nation.

Throughout our nation's lowest lows and highest highs, one thing that's remained constant is that we as Americans have never despaired, and never given up -- and as long as we have faith and keep fighting for progress alongside one another, I'm confident we never will.

History teaches us that our darkest moments have produced some of our greatest progress, and right now is no exception. We need to build a government that works for the people, not against us. We need to remove Trump from the White House so that we can begin rebuilding a country that reflects our highest ideals. And we need to build the strongest Democratic Party in recent history so we don't risk missing this shot.

I told you before I can't do this alone. It's going to take an immense amount of money and organizing resources to win this race -- and thousands of others down the ballot. Pat, I have to ask you one more time:

Will you commit to owning a piece of this campaign by splitting a $10 contribution between my campaign for president and the Democratic Unity Fund? I understand that it's a difficult time for many folks to give, but if you can, it'd mean a lot to me and to our campaign.

Don't let up, Pat -- we've got work to do.

Joe

Joe Biden

P.S. When I talk about faith, I don't necessarily mean religious faith -- though if that's meaningful to you like it is to me, then you should carry it with you. What I mean by faith in this sense is a belief that you can do extraordinary things, whatever the odds. Our fight to defeat Donald Trump and his rank-and-file GOP allies is going to be tough -- and to win, we'll have to defy the odds. That's why, if you can, I hope you'll split your first $10 gift between my campaign and the DNC today.
