re: Tom's birthday and Obama's announcement

If I know Tom Perez, his birthday wish is for the strongest Democratic Party in our history.

DemocratsJoin us.

I've worked with Tom Perez for a while now, so I know he doesn't ask for much on his birthday. But this year, I know there's one gift that will mean a lot to him: The strongest DNC in our history.

Luckily for him, we're working on building it together -- you, me, Tom, and millions of grassroots supporters across the country. Since Tom's birthday is today, I wanted to be sure you saw his email from this weekend and ask you to make your first $3 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund.

I can't hammer this point down enough: What we do in this moment matters, Pat. By donating to the Democratic Party today, you'll make an investment in the strong infrastructure our party needs to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2020. (And that's the best gift I can think of!)

Thanks for your ongoing support,

Seema

Subject: re: Your Democratic Unity Fund status

We just learned that Donald Trump and the RNC have raised over $300 million this year alone. Trump has been campaigning since day one of his presidency, and his incumbency comes with a massive fundraising advantage and head start.

$300,000,000

Pat, you can see for yourself. It's going to take a massive team effort for us to win the presidency and races everywhere in 2020. That's exactly where the Democratic Unity Fund comes in.

Democratic Unity Fund

The Democratic Unity Fund is a unified effort, originally announced by President Obama, to pave the path to victory for candidates nationwide. It's a promise that no matter who voters choose to be the Democratic nominee, she or he will have a windfall of support and an incredibly strong infrastructure to match Trump's massive lead.

President Obama

Pat, we're urgently asking you to join the growing group of 33,942 Democratic Unity Fund donors today. Democrats everywhere are counting on you to make your first contribution to the fund to win the Oval Office and seats up and down the ticket.

Your supporter record

We need all hands on deck to help launch our eventual nominee to the White House, Pat. Join your fellow Democrats by making a $3 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund.

President Barack Obama helped launch this fund with the DNC because he knows that it takes a strong and diverse coalition of Democrats coming together to win. That's how he won in 2008 and 2012. And that's how our eventual Democratic nominee and their fellow Democratic candidates nationwide will win next year.

President Obama called on you, and now I am urging you to answer his call. Make a $3 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund and join the league of Democrats ready to take on Trump.

Thank you for all you do,

Tom

P.S. This is the last quarter of the election cycle before Democrats like you begin voting for the Democratic nominee. Election Day will be here before we know it, Pat, so it's especially critical that you donate $3 to the Democratic Unity Fund today so our eventual nominee can have the strongest possible DNC at their fingertips.
