But, I've got to tell you, these days there's no such thing as an "off year." Here's why: Republicans have built strongholds at the state and local level and drawn themselves grossly gerrymandered maps. But this year there are more than 6,000 state legislature seats up -- and Democrats have a chance to flip seats and take back statehouses across the country. If we want any type of long-term power in this country, Democrats need to win those races. We're coming up on a critical fundraising deadline that could determine how many of those districts we're able to compete in this November, and I'm asking for your help.
