Add your name if you're still fighting for equal pay:

Friend --

On January 29th, 2009, President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act into law -- and that was a step forward. Now, it's easier for those who get paid less because of their gender to seek justice. But this fight is far from over.

Here's the good news: Our three candidates are going to keep fighting until we win.
  • Hillary Clinton: "It is in all of our interests, men and women, mothers and fathers, daughters and sons, to pursue, and finally achieve, equal wages for equal work."
  • Bernie Sanders: "There is no rational economic reason that women make 79 cents on the dollar compared to men. We're going to have pay equity."
  • Martin O'Malley: "Together, we can move forward and ensure that our daughters and granddaughters grow up and live in a country that is more fair and more equal."
And now for the bad news: The folks on the other side of the aisle are not only unwilling to fight for fair pay -- that is, when they're even aware of the issue (looking at you, Jeb Bush) -- they think it's a waste of time to even talk about.

This choice just couldn't be any clearer. If you're ready to put leaders in the White House and in Congress who will stand up for women and working families, add your name:

It's 2016, not 1950. Let's get real about things -- paying women less for doing the same job men do is just not acceptable. And I don't want future generations of women to have to keep fighting this battle over and over again. We've got to make this right, once and for all. To do that, we've got to elect Democrats.

I'm glad you're with me on this.

All the best,

Amy
