When I was elected Vice Chair of the Democratic Party last year, I knew that we had ambitious goals ahead of us -- and I also knew that they weren't going to be easy to achieve. Especially when it came to rebuilding the Democratic Party from the ground up. Since then, we've made a lot of progress together: We've made our party more transparent, more inclusive, and we've invested in some good, old-fashioned organizing at the state and local levels. I'm proud of how far we've come as an organization over the past year -- but if we're going to build an organization that can take back Congress this fall, we've still got a ways to go. This is a critical moment for the Democratic Party -- what we're able to raise before our first quarterly deadline of the year will affect much of what we'll be able to do for the rest of 2018.
