House Republicans just voted yes on Trump's disastrous tax plan. Add your name to tell Congress to create a plan that works for every American: I'M IN Pat -- House Republicans just passed their party's terrible tax plan -- a plan where nearly HALF of the tax breaks go to the top 1% of Americans. Not only that, but nearly 1 in 4 middle-class families could see a tax increase in this plan. Really. As Senate Republicans take up their bill, we need to be loud and clear that we expect a tax plan that helps all Americans, not just corporations, millionaires, and billionaires. Demand a fair tax plan from Senate Republicans. One of the craziest parts of the Republican bill is that it doesn't even help cut costs. According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, this tax plan would increase the deficit by $1.7 trillion (!) and could trigger more than $25 billion in Medicare cuts. But the Trump administration, Paul Ryan, and congressional Republicans don't care. Their only concern is handing their friends and America's richest companies a huge gift. And they're peddling the same-old empty promise of trickle-down economics that has time and again been proven to be a failure. The GOP can try and spin this bill all they want -- but here's the bottom line, Pat: This bill raises taxes on millions of middle-class Americans. And the Senate is now the only place we can stop it.
