Since 1940, Scholastic has conducted a student vote poll of grades K-12 and the results have almost always mirrored the outcome of the presidential election. This year, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump 52% to 35%. While I would love to see that much blue on our actual electoral map on Tuesday night, I know Democrats have our work cut out for us to get where we need to be. I'm doing this work because I know on everything from the economy to climate change, electing Hillary Clinton and Democrats down the ticket is the only option when it comes to giving my son the future he deserves in a country he can be proud to grow up in.
