Getting the word out about how bad Republicans would be for America is the most important part of our work. Become a Factivist today to get the latest information about what they're up to, then forward these emails to your friends and family to keep them in the loop, too. Hey there -- This week the Republican Party's presumptive nominee for President of the United States declared that not only should abortions be banned, but women should also receive "some sort of punishment" for getting them. Outrageous, right? Yeah, we've been scratching our heads at this one for the past few days. Trump tried to walk this back -- suggesting he meant to say that it's actually the doctors who deserve punishment. But this sort of attack on women who want to make their own health care choices is at the heart of the Republican Party's core beliefs. For instance... Ted Cruz is proudly standing on the wrong side of history in his fight against Planned Parenthood and was one of the temper tantrum throwing members of Congress who threatened to shut down the government if the President didn't sign a budget deal defunding it. Oh, and since he doesn't believe in the decisions of our Supreme Court, President Cruz would get right to work on finding a way to overturn Roe v. Wade. John Kasich has proudly deemed himself the most pro-life governor in Ohio's history -- illustrated by slashing funding for clinics where women in his state could safely receive abortions, signing a budget that required women seeking them to get medically unnecessary ultrasounds, and signing legislation that cuts funding for Planned Parenthood in Ohio altogether. And yet he claims he's a moderate? We don't think so. But on the flipside, we've got two amazing Democratic candidates who want to protect a woman's right to choose. And we've got to do everything we can to make one of them our next president. Simply put: The GOP is wrong for women. Forward this email to everyone you know so we can make sure none of them has the opportunity to lead this country back in the wrong direction. And let everyone you're forwarding to know they can become a Factivist and get these updates, too, because the more people we reach about how ridiculous the Republican Party has become, the more Democrats we elect to keep moving us forward: http://my.democrats.org/Become-a-Factivist Thanks.
