This is what change looks like

Friend --

Earlier this month we celebrated a huge milestone: Twenty million Americans now have the security of health insurance thanks to the Affordable Care Act.

And contrary to claims that Obamacare would be a job killer -- which we heard as recently as the last Republican debate -- we have seen steady economic recovery since it became law. We've added jobs in the private sector every single month since I signed the bill into law -- for six years straight. Fourteen million new jobs and unemployment cut from 10 percent to less than five. That's what change looks like.

And once you see how far we've come, once you can quantify it like that, you know there's no turning back.

Every day, we're moving closer to electing someone who will sit behind this desk after me, but our choice has never been more clear. Every single Republican candidate would have you believe that everything is doom and gloom, that our country couldn't be in worse shape. But that just isn't true. Our uninsured rate dropped below 10 percent for the first time ever on record, our graduation rates are up, more of our young people are going to college, and we are working to curb gun violence in our communities.

More than anything, this election is about Americans working together to make a real difference in people's lives, and together we can keep fighting for the change we want to see in this country -- but only if we elect leaders who will fight with us. Add your name next to mine if you're ready to make that happen:

When my time in office is over, I'll still be standing right beside you to do the work that matters. Together, we'll keep making life better for Americans in every corner of this country.

So thank you.
