Friend -- Think back to 2008. Before I took office, we were losing 800,000 jobs a month, and unemployment was on its way to 10 percent. Affordable, reliable health care was out of reach for far too many of our fellow Americans. And marriage equality was the law of the land in just two states. But elections matter, and look at where we are today. We've moved this country forward because supporters like you took ownership of that campaign and the next one, because you knew what was at stake -- and what was possible when we worked together. We've been busy these last eight years. And we're still busy, because we've got more work to do. Part of that work now is doing what we can to elect leaders this November who are going to work to make this great country of ours even better. When I see the great candidates we have, I can't tell you how proud I am to be a Democrat. I'm not only talking about the folks running to succeed me in office, but also those running to win back our majority in the Senate -- and while we're at it, how about the House, too? They're fighting for people who haven't had the same chances we have but who we believe should be able to make it. That we'll all be living in a better world when that happens. That's what we stand for as Democrats -- and that's what we should stand for as Americans. We've got a big deadline tonight. And if we're going to reach these big goals of holding the White House and winning back our Democratic majorities in Congress, we're going to need everyone to do their part. You can help us get there by pitching in $10 or whatever you can toward our Democratic Majority Fund by midnight tonight. If you've saved your payment information, your donation will go through immediately. I'm so proud to have you on our team.
