When I stood in front of Congress and the American people, I said that we were readying the next chapter in the great American story -- a story of progress and resilience.
Two years ago, the economy was reeling. Since then, we've fought to make sure our economy works for everyone. We've helped create 12 million new jobs. Because of you all, because of the American people.
Folks, let's look at the results. The unemployment rate is at a 50-year low. We've funded thousands of projects that are going to put thousands of people to work rebuilding our highways and bridges all across America. We capped the cost of insulin at $35 a month for seniors on Medicare.
We've made a lot of progress together. But we're not finished yet by any stretch of the imagination. And we need to elect more Democrats to get more done. Now it's time to finish the job.
Will you chip in $25 to the Democratic National Committee? That money goes straight to electing Democrats in all parts of this great nation -- Democrats who will deliver for the American people and rebuild our country.

I've never been more optimistic about the future of America. I mean it.
We're a nation with a strong soul, a strong backbone, and a strong people. We just have to remember this and remember who we are. There is nothing beyond our capacity if we do it together.
If we join together to build an economy for working people, cap the cost of insulin for everybody, and stop the attacks by Republicans to cut Social Security and Medicare, we can finish the job and build a better nation.
We have more to do, but I know we can get it done if we support our party and elect more Democratic leaders who are committed to progress.
We need to get this done. Chip in $25 to stand with Democrats nationwide to make sure we can keep our work and this fight alive.
This is our moment. I'm really counting on you.
Joe
Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
President of the United States
