| |  | Folks, As a lifelong educator, back-to-school season has always been one of my favorite times of year. I love the smell of freshly waxed floors and new notebooks. I love the anticipation you feel in an empty classroom, moments before the students file in. After a year of remote and hybrid learning, students and educators across the country are excited to be back in their classrooms. Still, even as families look forward to the months ahead, they are anxious about the unknown. In-person learning is essential. That's why Joe and Kamala made it a top priority to pass the American Rescue Plan, providing the support schools need to get kids back in the classroom and help keep both students and educators safe. We've come so far, but if we're going to continue building on our progress in the months and years ahead, we need to not only defend our existing Democratic majorities, we need to build on them.
