Hey team --
This week, the Senate passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. President Biden promised that when elected, he'd work to find common ground and deliver for working families. This bipartisan bill -- supported by 19 Republican senators -- is a product of President Biden's leadership and a game changer for our economy and our nation's infrastructure.
This historic legislation, along with the rest of President Biden's Build Back Better agenda, will help create nearly two million good-paying, union jobs a year over the next decade and invest in our country's economic growth.

President Biden's infrastructure deal
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a once-in-a-generation investment that will help grow our economy, create jobs, and position American workers to succeed. Take a quick look at what's in this bill:
🚉 Modernizing our nation's infrastructure: Over $100 billion will go toward upgrading our worn-down bridges and highways. This bill will also make the largest federal investment in passenger rail since the creation of Amtrak.
🖥️ Expanding broadband: This bill will help ensure that every American household has access to affordable, reliable high-speed internet -- because internet is infrastructure.
🌎 Tackling the climate crisis: We're making the largest investment in clean energy and electric vehicle infrastructure in history -- electrifying thousands of school and transit buses across the country.
🚰 Providing clean drinking water: This bill marks the largest investment in clean drinking water and wastewater infrastructure in American history -- and will help replace all of the nation's lead pipes and deliver clean drinking water to millions of families.
The bill not only signals to the world that our democracy can function, deliver, and do big things -- it demonstrates what is possible when Democrats are leading the charge.
July jobs report ↗️
The economy added 943,000 jobs in July -- bringing the unemployment rate down to 5.4% and making it the best month for job creation in almost a year.
The job growth we've seen in the past six months is historic, and it's thanks in large part to President Biden and congressional Democrats who passed the American Rescue Plan (without a single Republican vote!)
Folks are getting the help they need through direct payments from the stimulus checks and the expanded Child Tax Credit, over 167 million people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and now, Americans are getting back to work.
Join Vice President Harris: Protect the right to vote
Vice President Harris launched the expansion of the DNC's I Will Vote initiative last month because nationwide, Republicans are trying to win at the ballot box by making it harder for folks to vote. Over 400 anti-voter bills have already been proposed at the state level this year.
It could not be more clear: Republicans are trying to take us back to a time when votes and voices didn't matter -- and we cannot let that happen. Show your support for the right to vote with the DNC's Voting Rights collection. Proceeds will be used to protect the right to vote and elect Democrats who will do the same:
Lowering drug costs
Americans currently pay two-and-a-half times more for prescription drugs than folks in other countries. But recently, President Biden signed an executive order to demand the FDA work with states and tribes to safely import prescription drugs from Canada to lower drug prices.
The executive order will also help lower consumer prices, increase wages, promote innovation, and take another crucial step toward an economy that works for everyone.
A team effort
Passing critical legislation like the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the American Rescue Plan started right here, with this grassroots team.
Because folks like you pitched in what you could, when you could, our party was able to win back the White House and flip the Senate. Now, as we prepare for critical elections later this year and the 2022 midterms, Democrats nationwide are counting on your continued support.
Make a $25 donation to the DNC today so that we can keep building upon the progress we've made and elect Democrats from the state house to the Senate.
