Someone pretty special has a birthday coming up in a few days -- and I know the perfect way to celebrate. Since President Obama announced the Democratic Unity Fund, I've been amazed by the enthusiasm we have seen from people like you as we all prepare for the election of our lifetimes. There's still a lot of work we must do between now and Election Day, which is why I hope I can count on you to donate to the Democratic Unity Fund in honor of President Obama's birthday on August 4. As President Obama explained, the Democratic Unity Fund is entirely dedicated to electing our party's eventual presidential nominee and winning up and down the ballot in 2020. Since we launched this fund, 25,078 people and counting have donated -- that's incredible, Pat. I want to echo what President Obama said earlier, because it couldn't be more true: Whoever wins our party's nomination next July will need a strong, united, and well-resourced Democratic Party to lift them to victory. We can't afford to wait until next year to do this important work, so I'm asking:Will you make your first $3 contribution to the Democratic Unity Fund to help elect Democrats from local office to the Oval Office in 2020? Thanks for supporting our party, Tom Tom Perez |
