We're suing Arizona, Pat

This Arizona law vastly disenfranchises people of color who live in rural communities -- especially Native Americans and Latinos.
DemocratsJoin us.
The DNC is suing the state of Arizona, Pat. Let me take a moment to tell you why.

Currently, in Arizona, there is a law that makes it a felony to deliver a mail-in ballot on behalf of another person -- even if it's signed and sealed. As it turns out, this law disproportionately disenfranchises people of color -- especially Latinos across the state and Native Americans who live in rural communities where neighbors rely on neighbors to drop things in the mail for them.

That's why the DNC is investing more than $2 million in this lawsuit to protect voting rights -- every American should be able to participate in our democracy, no matter where you live. Contribute $10 right now, before Wednesday's end-of-month deadline, to show your support for voting rights and the DNC's vital work in 2018.

Republicans insist that Arizona's law will reduce voter fraud -- but there are no instances of fraud due to ballot collection in Arizona. Trust me, I study this sort of thing for a living. The only effect of this law is to limit the ways voters can submit their ballots and make it harder for Arizonans to vote.

Here's the thing, Pat: This effort isn't about Democrats winning elections. It's about making sure that every voter is afforded their constitutional right. Every voter deserves a voice and the opportunity to make sure it is heard at the ballot box.

As Democrats, we will not tolerate voter disenfranchisement and will continue to fight against it. Stand with Democrats before Wednesday's deadline by chipping in $10 to ensure all Americans can participate in our elections.

Thanks for your support,

Georgina
