Pat -- Two years ago this week, the Supreme Court issued two historic decisions. On June 25th, 2015, the Court upheld the Affordable Care Act for the second time. And the next day, marriage equality became the law of the land. I've been thinking about these anniversaries a lot during this busy, emotional week, as we've been fighting to defend affordable health care. These rulings are personal for me -- in a world without marriage equality, I wouldn't have been able to marry the woman I love -- but they've also been a reminder about the importance of persistence. These victories, and all the progress we've made from health care to marriage equality and everything in between, are the result of years and decades of hard work. Because people like us stood up and fought for what was right, our country grew stronger and moved forward. I know how difficult it's been over the past few months to see Trump and the GOP work tirelessly to tear down so much of what we've achieved. But we have to stay committed to the values we believe in -- we have to resist and persist. The change we made didn't happen overnight, and it can't be taken away overnight as long as we keep standing up and fighting back. As we gear up for the fights ahead, chip in $10 or more before our deadline at midnight tonight to help Democrats defend our progress.
