Add your name: stand with Democrats to protect the Affordable Care Act. Friend -- This morning, in his defense of the GOP's Obamacare "replacement" plan, Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz said that Americans would need to choose between "getting that new iPhone that they just love" and health insurance. That's beyond offensive. Before the Affordable Care Act became law, too many Americans had to make the difficult decisions to put off checkups or skip refilling a prescription. They weren't saving up for a fancy new phone -- they were choosing between putting food on the table or paying their medical bills. The GOP's plan will take us back to that reality. Millions of Americans will lose their health coverage (even insurance they get from their employer) under this plan, and the cost of health care will skyrocket for millions more. They're counting on us to stand up to out-of-touch Republicans like Jason Chaffetz. If you're ready to fight back, add your name: Thanks, The Democrats |
