Friend, Thought Donald Trump surging in the polls was temporary? Think again. Just this week, Trump was announced as the winner of the corn kernel poll at the Iowa State Fair -- and he won by a pretty wide margin. Donald Trump's popularity with Republican voters is fueled by some truly alarming ideas. He believes that climate change is a "hoax," promises to repeal Obamacare, refers to Mexican immigrants as "criminals" and "rapists," and has even threatened to get rid of birthright citizenship for the children of immigrants who are born here in the United States. And the reality is that Donald Trump is not alone -- every single one of the 17 Republicans running for president would be a total nightmare in the White House if elected. No matter who wins the nomination, we've gotta be ready to defeat him or her next November. The GOP is gearing up for a fight, so it's more important than ever that we do all we can to keep the White House in 2016 -- and elect more Democrats to Congress.
