Five years ago today, I signed the Affordable Care Act into law. That was a pretty good day, but I've got to say -- this one is even better. Because now we don't just have plans and hopes for the future, we have five years of facts -- and the facts say indisputably that health care reform is working. All across America, folks are seeing that their prescriptions have gotten cheaper. They're seeing that insurance companies can no longer deny them coverage because of a pre-existing condition. And by the end of this year's enrollment period, more than 16 million Americans gained coverage. Meanwhile, Republicans have spent the last five years trying -- and failing -- to repeal health care reform, and they've given no indication that they intend to do anything different for the next five. Let's not move backwards. Add your name to stand up for the Affordable Care Act: http://my.democrats.org/5-Years-of-Obamacare Thanks -- I hope you feel good about the progress we've made.
