Friend -- It's been more than four months since the Senate received Loretta Lynch's nomination to be our next Attorney General. That means it's long past time for them to vote to confirm her. Now, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Barack nominated Loretta Lynch, because she is supremely qualified. And if anyone knows that, it's the folks in the U.S. Senate. You see, they've already easily confirmed Loretta to lead one of the most prominent U.S. Attorney offices in the country -- not once, but twice. But this time, Republican leaders in Congress won't even let her nomination come up for a vote. In fact, Loretta has been stuck on the Senate floor for longer than the seven previous Attorneys General combined -- the longest confirmation process for an Attorney General in decades -- waiting for a simple yes-or-no vote. Look: No one can claim she's unqualified. No one's saying she can't do the job. This is entirely about politics -- and it's long past time for Congress to stop playing politics with law enforcement and national security.
