Let's get one thing straight about these elections in November: The people who tell you that the President's party is always doomed in a midterm election are flat-out wrong. Most Americans agree with Democrats on the big issues that we're fighting for -- ideas like raising the minimum wage and making sure that everyone in this country can get the health care they need. And it's because Democrats don't back down from defending our values that we're in a position to win some big seats in the Senate, and pick up governor's mansions in states like Pennsylvania, Florida, and even Kansas. We have an opportunity to start pressing our advantage right now, as folks are starting to pay attention to the races in their home states. But we need resources to do it, so step up and give what you can before the Wednesday fundraising deadline. Nobody's saying this will be easy. The Koch brothers have already started spending millions of dollars to attack the President and Democratic candidates. Our old friend Karl Rove raised more money last month than in all of 2013 combined. And they're just getting started too.
