Buying this election

Pacquiao -- This week, the Koch brothers' multi-million dollar group, Americans for Prosperity, launched a $25 million ad buy in 11 battleground states. That means voters in states like Ohio and Florida will be even more inundated with misleading attack ads as a part of the Koch brothers' plan to try to buy this election. All together, outside groups like Americans for Prosperity could spend as much as a billion dollars to defeat President Obama and Democrats across the board in November -- anyone would be lying to you if they said we didn't have a tough road ahead of us as we fight back. I know just how ugly this could get if we don't do everything in our power to close the spending gap between us and these right-wing groups. It's time for us all to step up. Contributions or gifts to Obama Victory Fund 2012 are not tax deductible. The first $5,000 of a contribution to OVF 2012 will be allocated to Obama for America (with the first $2,500 designated for the primary election, and the next $2,500 for the general election).
