Today, I am asking you to make a contribution to support Justin Pearson’s campaign for Congress in Tennessee’s newly drawn ninth district that attempts to dilute the power of Black voters in the state.
If you already understand the importance of state Rep. Pearson’s race, please use this link to give to his campaign and my work supporting voting rights across the country:

Here is the situation:
After the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act, Tennessee’s Republican lawmakers swiftly moved to divide the state’s lone Democratic and Black-majority district into three red-leaning districts.
As far as I'm concerned, they are backdooring racism through politics. Justin Peason is running to stop that extreme agenda in its tracks.
Justin is a principled leader running in one of those new districts to ensure Tennesseans have the representation they deserve. Republicans are trying to make sure he has a tough fight in these next two months, so that is why I am asking you to support his campaign today.
Listen, Stephanie. We’ve got to fight fire with fire.
These folks are playing to win, so we need to play to win too. They’re ruthless, so we need to be ruthless too.
That means we need to take on these tough races and give them everything we’ve got.
If everyone reading this pitched in $10, we would have enough to make sure state Rep. Pearson has what he needs to win in Tennessee and continue fighting for voting rights in Congress and across the country.
Unfortunately, not everyone is able to give. That is why I am counting on those of you who know how critical your support is to winning these midterm elections to make a contribution today.
If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly between Fight For The People PAC and Justin Pearson.
This is what a fight looks like — and we know that it is a fight worth having. I am sincerely grateful to have your support in this.
Thank you,
Kamala Harris
