You’re standing up when it matters the most.
While Texas Republicans tried to ram through a ruthless gerrymandering bill to steal five more House seats and rig our democracy for Trump’s MAGA majority, you did what heroes do: you walked out.
You left the state, not to run, but to fight. To deny a corrupt vote. To protect the voices of millions of Texans who refuse to be silenced.
Now, Governor Greg Abbott is threatening to expel you. Why? Because you dared to defend democracy.
Let’s be crystal clear: this isn’t just a partisan power play. It’s an attack on free elections, fair representation, and every voter who believes their ballot should count just as much as anyone else’s – no matter their race, ZIP code, or political party.
You showed the nation what courage looks like. You said: We will not be complicit. You stood between Texans and tyranny.
And now, we stand with you.
I’m sending this letter with thousands of others to say it loud and clear: you are not alone.
We’ve got your back. We support your walkout. We support your refusal to bow to threats. We support your unflinching commitment to fair maps and a free democracy. Never. Back. Down.
