| Friend, it's Joe. I wanted to reach out today and talk about why today is so important. Thanksgiving is a special time in America. A time to reflect on what the year has brought, and to think about what lies ahead. These last few years, we've made great progress, but we still have a long way to go. While we continue this important work together, we can't forget the reason for Thanksgiving in the first place -- during tough times, we come together to express our gratitude to those we hold close. And for those who have lost loved ones, I know this time of year is especially difficult. It's important we keep our loved ones in our hearts this time of year. I will be thinking and praying for each and every one of them at our Thanksgiving table because Jill and I have been there and know how hard today can be. So on this Thanksgiving, let's be grateful. Scripture says, "Let us rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances." And I give thanks now: for you and for the trust you have placed in me. So from the Biden family to yours, wherever and however you may be celebrating, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. God bless you, and may God protect our troops. Joe Joe Biden
