| After removing their own Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, a bunch of extremist Republicans are throwing their name in the ring. Republican power players like Marjorie Taylor Greene are even floating a Trump speakership. Seriously! 
And Trump is saying he's open to it. I mean, okay! Here's the thing: Donald Trump doesn't actually need to be speaker to…be speaker. We know that whoever comes next, whether it's Donald Trump or one of his disciples, is going to be pushing whatever Trump tells them to. If you put Republicans in charge, chaos ensues. We need to elect Democrats -- from Joe and Kamala down the ticket -- who are capable of serving the American people and finishing the job. Will you pitch in $25 now if you agree? Listen, Republicans could be doing their jobs right now. They could be working to lower prescription drug costs for the American people (which the President did literally yesterday!) or building an economy that works for everyone. But instead they're busy fighting with themselves. All to advance an agenda that would help their friends get richer, would raise costs for working families, and would take core freedoms away from people around the country. The current, shambolic state of the Republican Party is not just embarrassing for them, it is flat-out dangerous for our democracy and damaging to our country's reputation on the global stage.
