We have some exciting news to share. Because you are a strong grassroots supporter of the DNC, we wanted you to be one of the first to know:
The Democratic National Convention is returning to the Midwest. Chicago will host the convention from August 19-22, 2024.
The Midwest is a critical Democratic stronghold and Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota -- known as the "blue wall" -- were crucial to the 2020 victory of President Biden and Vice President Harris. These states have voted to send a Democrat to the White House in every election since 1992 with only one exception: 2016.
And in 2022, the Democratic governors in each of these states were resoundingly reelected -- making up one of the best midterm elections for a sitting president in decades.
Chicago has already felt the impact of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, including rebuilding crumbling roads and bridges, replacing dangerous lead pipes, and expanding broadband. The region will showcase the Democratic economic agenda that is unleashing a manufacturing boom, strengthening U.S. supply chains, creating good-paying middle-class jobs, and expanding economic opportunity.
We're thrilled that Chicago will host a successful convention to showcase the Democratic Party's values.
We hope to see you there!
