On Wednesday, every single Senate Republican voted to block the Freedom to Vote Act. This bill aimed to increase access to the ballot box by making it easier to register to vote, creating a new federal holiday on Election Day, ensuring states have early voting for federal elections, and allowing all voters to request mail-in ballots.
