We can have leaders who will unite us instead of embracing the hatred that drives us apart. We can have a president who shares our American values and respects the institutions that make this country great, and not one who undermines our First Amendment freedoms at every turn. We can invest in growing our economy, creating good-paying jobs, and guaranteeing health care as a right, or we can build a wall that is rooted in hatred and fear-mongering. We can secure a future for this country that we know is right. But we must elect more Democrats. We need to start this November by electing Democratic governors and legislators in Virginia and New Jersey, and take back the Washington state senate. We need to break the Republican majorities in Congress next year. And in 2020, we need to put a Democrat in the White House. We need more Democrats in office from top to bottom, in every state.
