Are you with me?

It's a new year and a new Congress, so I want to try something a little different -- and I could really use your support.

For the first time since 2006, Republicans control both the House and the Senate. And I'll be honest with you: They're going to have a different agenda than we do. That means we're going to work harder than we have to hold this Congress accountable to you -- not special interests.

Over the next few days, I'm going to be visiting with folks in Tennessee, Arizona, and Michigan to outline what this year is going to look like, and there's so much we have to do. We've got to improve access to higher education, help more Americans buy a home, and create even more jobs -- and we can't afford to waste even one minute.

But first I need to know: Are you still with me? If you are, just let me know:

I can't tell you how much your support means to me. I hope you'll stick with us.

Thanks for everything,

Barack Obama
