Pacquiao -- In March, I asked Congress to show courage on gun control -- and I think we're still waiting to see some more courage on Capitol Hill. There have been setbacks on passing measures to reduce gun violence, and groups that are fighting for reform legislation are gearing back up. I've been meeting with many of these folks, including the group formed by Gabby Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly. I'll tell you what I told them: We're in this fight until we win it. I hope I can count on you in that fight -- because I've counted on you before, and together, we've won. Add your name to say you're with me, Gabby, Mark, and millions more Americans in the fight for gun safety legislation. The most important thing we can do now is build up the number of Americans who are committed to reducing gun violence. I am laser-focused on this issue. And I am telling you, your support will be critical to getting it done in Washington. Join us in the fight: http://my.democrats.org/Reduce-Gun-Violence Thanks, Joe | |
