Friend -- A lot of folks have been talking about giving Donald Trump a failing grade for the first hundred days of his presidency. Well, if he were in one of my classes, I'd give him an "incomplete." Donald made a lot of promises about what he'd do in his first 100 days. "A contract between Donald J. Trump and the American voter," he called it. If it were a real legal contract, the voters could have taken him to court by now. He promised to help out middle-class families, but on his first day in office he made it harder for folks to buy their first home. He talked a big game about how he'd "drain the swamp," and then he filled his administration with lobbyists and put together a Cabinet straight out of a Wall Street boardroom -- what could be swampier? And let's not even get into his attendance record. Ducking out nearly every weekend for a taxpayer-funded trip to a Trump-owned resort? Spending about one-fifth of his presidency at his own golf courses? Give me a break. When you don't complete the assignment, you have to pay the price. For Donald, that's us holding him accountable and beating the GOP. Before tomorrow, pitch in $10 or more to our 100 Day Resistance Fund. re: pre-existing conditions (add your name)
Congressional Republicans have no shame.
![]() |
Add your name: tell Republicans in Congress to stop trying to take away our health care. Please read this important update about the Republican health care bill -- and then click here to take immediate action. Even though we defeated the GOP's attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act last month, Trump and House Republicans have been negotiating in secret to bring it back. Their latest proposal would allow insurers to jack up premiums for people with pre-existing conditions. That means it would be legal again for insurance companies to charge sick people more for insurance -- even putting the cost of insurance out of reach entirely. Republicans could vote on this proposal as soon tomorrow. If it passes and Donald Trump signs it into law, even more Americans would lose their coverage than under the previous GOP proposal. We must stop the GOP's health care catastrophe again. Add your name right now to call on Republicans in Congress to oppose it: Thank you, The Democrats |

ACA UPDATE: GOP protects pre-existing condition coverage... for themselves
Republicans are back with a new health care "plan."
![]() |
Add your name to stand with Democrats and say you'll fight to protect our health care: Republicans are burning the midnight oil to repeal the Affordable Care Act this week. Here's the latest, truly depraved update from last night: The GOP is hell-bent on eliminating Obamacare's protections for people with pre-existing conditions. Their plan would turn back the clock so insurance companies can go back to charging sick people more for the care they need -- even if jacking up premiums would put coverage completely out of reach. But congressmen get sick too! So Republicans snuck in a provision that specifically protects... themselves. In other words, congressional Republicans' health coverage would stay the same even if they get sick. Not a member of Congress? You're out of luck. The GOP is sneaking off in the dead of night to take away our care but protecting it for themselves. Don't let them get away with it. Add your name to stop the latest Republican health care catastrophe: Thanks, The Democrats |

TRUMP'S TAX PLAN: He pays less, you pay more (add your name)
Trump pays less, you pay more

Donald Trump's tax trick: he pays less, you pay more. Add your name to say you won't stand for it: Friend -- Desperate to accomplish something in his first hundred days, Donald Trump is rolling out his "tax reform plan" today. But it's not reform. It's barely even a plan. It's a giant tax cut for big corporations -- including the Trump Organization! -- to be paid for by eliminating tax deductions used by middle-class families. In other words: Trump pays less, you pay more. That's not reform -- it's a grift. Donald's going to pull out all the stops to get this done. Let's fight back -- sign on to denounce Trump's tax trick: Thanks, The Democrats |

re: 100 days of resistance
Help us keep fighting
![]() |
On Saturday, it will have been 100 days since Donald Trump assumed America's highest office. He promised to drain the swamp, but instead, he stocked it with bigger alligators -- from bigots like Jeff Sessions to people like Betsy DeVos and Steven Mnuchin making up the wealthiest Cabinet in history. He promised to improve the lives of millions of Americans, but everything he has done has accomplished the exact opposite at the expense of American families. On his first very day in office, he made it harder to save for retirement and for first-time homebuyers to buy a home. Fear and hatred have been the driving force behind policies that demonize immigrants, tear apart families, and punish innocent refugees. His proposed budget cuts job training, mental health services, and rural economic development programs. He's even chasing funds from Meals on Wheels and money that helps seniors warm their homes during the winter just so he can give millionaires and billionaires a tax break. All while he's spent an estimated $25 million in taxpayer money on golf vacations -- he spent 19 of his first 90 days at a Trump-branded resort. For 100 days, Donald Trump has broken promise after promise as hardworking Americans paid the price. And we're fighting back. Folks like you in Texas and all over this country have shown up at town halls, at airports, at rallies. You've marched and made phone calls to save affordable health care, stop a Muslim ban, defeat an anti-worker Cabinet nominee, and so much more. The hallmark of Donald Trump's first 100 days in office will be resistance. Let's make sure we're able to keep resisting for the next hundred, and the hundred after that, and on until Donald Trump is out of office for good. Become a Founding Donor today to our 100 Day Resistance Fund, which we'll use to elect Democrats who will resist Trump in every state and at every level of government. Together, we can turn our passion into victory at the ballot box in every community. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.
