Pacquiao -- I need to ask you one last thing before tonight's midnight deadline: If you know you're going to donate to this campaign eventually, what's stopping you from doing it right now? If you're going to be a part of history in 2012, it's time to get off the sidelines. So, before midnight, will you chip in what you can and say you're in? This has never been about Barack and me. We're just two guys. It's folks like you out there who will decide this election. And what you're capable of is incredible -- if you decide to do it. http://my.democrats.org/Friday-Deadline Thank you, Joe P.S. -- That deadline also applies to the dinner Barack is having with four supporters. Donate today and you'll be automatically entered for the chance to be there. No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning. Void where prohibited. Entries must be received by midnight on 9/30/11. You may enter by contributing to Sponsor at https://donate.barackobama.com/Dinner-with-Barack-Sept or go here, http://my.barackobama.com/Dinner-with-Barack-Alt-Sept, to enter without contributing. Four winners will each receive the following prize package: one round-trip ticket from within the fifty U.S. States, DC, or Puerto Rico to a destination to be determined by the Sponsor; hotel accommodations for one; and dinner with President Obama on a date to be determined by the Sponsor (approximate combined retail value $1,050). Odds of winning depend on number of entries received. What's stopping you, Pacquiao?
Last chance at dinner
Pacquiao -- Because you and I don't have a lot of chances to have dinner together, I hope you'll take advantage of the one that's coming up this fall. So if you've been sitting on this, now's the time to toss your name in the hat: https://donate.barackobama.com/Dinner I like these dinners not just because I get to hear from supporters like you, but because they're part of what makes our organization different. Other campaigns save seats at the table for special-interest PACs and Washington lobbyists -- and you can see the effects in the decisions they make and the priorities they set. Our campaign rejects all contributions from Washington lobbyists, and we refuse all money from corporate PACs. That means we're accountable only to the people, not special interests. Instead, we're relying on millions of people like you giving just $3 or whatever you can pitch in. Hope to see you soon: http://my.democrats.org/Dinner Thanks, Barack No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning. These dinners
Pacquiao -- Not everyone knows how to prepare for a dinner like this. As someone who's eaten countless meals with my husband, I want to tell you the one thing to do if you're selected to join him... Just relax. Barack wants this dinner to be fun, and he really loves getting to know supporters like you. I hope you'll take him up on it before Friday's deadline. Will you donate $3 or more today and be entered to have dinner with Barack? These dinners mean a lot to Barack. They're a chance for him to talk with a few of the people who are driving the campaign -- and a chance for him to say thank you. So come prepared to tell your story, and say whatever's on your mind. Don't miss the opportunity to be there. Donate $3 today, before the September 30th deadline: http://my.democrats.org/Dinner Thanks, Michelle No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. If I don't call you
Pacquiao -- I enjoy talking about fundraising deadlines as much as I imagine you enjoy hearing about them. But this Friday's deadline is important. It's a chance for us to prove how we're different from any campaign in politics: We rely on ordinary Americans giving what they can -- one grassroots donation at a time. This is not just a campaign. It's a chance for each of us as citizens to organize and change the course of history. And before we close the books this Friday at midnight, I hope you'll become a part of it. Please donate $3 or more today. I'll be calling some grassroots donors like you by phone this week, so I can say thank you. And if I don't call you, there's a chance I'll see you at dinner with three other supporters sometime soon. Even if I don't get to thank you personally, every single donation counts: http://my.democrats.org/Friday-Deadline Thanks for doing your part, Barack No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning. Void where prohibited. Entries must be received by midnight on 9/30/11. Remind Congress to do their jobs
Pacquiao -- When the President laid out his jobs plan earlier this month, he couldn't have been more clear: The American people can't afford to wait for the next election to see results out of Washington. They sent their members of Congress here to get things done now. Democrats aren't sitting back and hoping for the best -- we're taking our case straight to the American people. We've launched a major ad campaign in support of the American Jobs Act. It calls on all Americans to hold their lawmakers' feet to the fire until this bill gets passed, because that's the only way it's going to get done. We want to spread that message as widely as possible. Will you chip in $5 today to help us continue the fight for the President's agenda -- and keep ads like this one on the air? Right now, Republican leaders aren't working for the American people. And that's unacceptable -- especially at a time when families need their leaders in Washington to come together and get things done. It shouldn't take an effort like this to remind our leaders to do their jobs. But the truth is some in the GOP care more about making sure the President doesn't get his way than doing whatever it takes to create jobs and return economic security to the middle class. Now is not the time for scoring political points -- for either side. We need action, and the President is counting on all of us to demand it. It's an uphill battle, but we know how powerful it can be when members of Congress start hearing the case straight from their constituents at home. I'm asking you to help keep ads like this on the air in these critical first weeks of the fight to pass this bill. Please donate $5 today: http://my.democrats.org/Pass-This-Bill Thanks, Patrick Patrick Gaspard Executive Director Democratic National Committee |

Fwd: It's officially over
Pacquiao -- The repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" -- which took effect today -- is more than just one of President Obama's most significant accomplishments. It is a renewal of our nation's promise that all of us are equal. As the White House political director, I worked alongside President Obama and countless others, including campaign manager Jim Messina, to fight for repeal. Today is a special day that all of us will remember. Take a moment to hear the stories of some of the people affected by this law in this video from the campaign, and see Messina's note below: http://my.democrats.org/DADT-Is-History Thanks, Patrick -------------ORIGINAL MESSAGE------------- From: Jim Messina, BarackObama.com Subject: It's officially over Friend -- Today, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is officially over. Gay men and lesbians in the military no longer have to hide who they are, and the servicemembers who were discharged under this policy can re-enlist. This is one of the administration's signature achievements. Countless Americans fought hard to end this law over the course of nearly two decades, and President Obama is proud to have signed the repeal. But today's news isn't just a policy promise kept -- it's a personal promise kept to the thousands of people who needed and deserved this change. I want to share a video the campaign put together about some of the people affected by this law: four stories from men and women who served in the military during "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." You should watch the video and share it with everyone who cares about fairness and equality in America. Before my current job, I was in the White House working on getting this done, and I can honestly say that repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is one of the greatest things I have ever been or ever will be a part of. I think about it every time I walk into my office, where I keep one of the pens the President used to sign the bill. It's a reminder that -- as broken as Washington is and as long as change can take -- people and organizations can do amazing things when they work together and never waver from the vision that unites them. Watch four people say what today means to them -- and let us know what it means to you: http://my.democrats.org/DADT-Is-History There's a lot more to do in the months ahead. But today is one to savor. Thanks, Messina Jim Messina Campaign Manager Obama for America |

Sometime soon, can we meet for dinner?
Friend -- I'm writing to invite you to dinner. If that sounds familiar, it's because we've done this before. I've asked the campaign to organize small, five-person dinners with supporters like you as a regular thing. These dinners are important to me. Not just because they help me stay connected to supporters like you who are doing the hard work of building this campaign, but because they set us apart. No matter what our opponents do over the next 14 months, we have chosen to put people at the heart of our campaign -- and we're focused on building it one grassroots donation at a time. I'm asking you to make one today. Will you donate $5 or more today to be automatically entered for a chance to join me for dinner? I read a few letters every day from the many that come to the White House. Those personal connections with the people who put me here drive me and remind me why I set out to do this job in the first place. Our focus on everyday Americans and their stories has always made our organization more than just a political campaign. From the very beginning, we've set out to practice a different kind of politics -- proving that we don't need checks from Washington lobbyists or unlimited special-interest money to win an election. That's why I'm asking you to step up and donate today. When you do, you'll be automatically entered to win a place at dinner: http://my.democrats.org/Dinner Maybe I'll get to thank you in person. Barack No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning. Void where prohibited. Entries must be received by midnight on 9/30/11. You may enter by contributing to Sponsor at https://donate.barackobama.com/Dinner-with-Barack-Sept or click here, http://my.barackobama.com/Dinner-with-Barack-Alt-Sept, to enter without contributing. Before I head to the Capitol
Pacquiao -- I'm about to head to the Capitol to ask Congress to act on my plan to put Americans back to work. Before I do, I wanted to write you directly to remind you that the fight to create jobs -- and provide the kind of economic security for middle-class families that's been slipping away over the last decade -- won't begin or end with the speech I give tonight. What happens will be up to you. In the coming days and weeks, it will be up to you to pressure Congress to act -- or hold them accountable if they do not. If you're with me, let me know. And the campaign will make sure you are looped into our efforts to support this plan. Talk to you soon, Barack ----------- This campaign isn't funded by Washington lobbyists or corporate interests. We rely on donations from people like you. You should donate today. |

I want you to be in Charlotte
Pacquiao -- One year from today, Democrats from across the country will meet in Charlotte, North Carolina to renominate Barack Obama for President. The 2012 Convention will be different from any that came before it. We believe this should be an event not just for the thousands who will attend but for the millions whose values it will reflect -- making supporters across the country feel closely tied to what is happening in Charlotte and giving you unprecedented access to the nominating process. That's why we're asking you to sign up to get updates from the 2012 Democratic Convention. If you do, you'll automatically be entered for a chance to join us at the Convention in Charlotte one year from today. Sign up now. Conventions are a time to come together to celebrate our Party and our President, and show Americans what unites us as Democrats. Three years ago, I was in Denver. On the second-to-last night of the Democratic National Convention, I watched as Michael Wilson, an Iraq War veteran, stood to nominate Barack Obama to be president of the United States. I spoke to second that nomination, and I talked about how important it is to nominate a candidate who reflects all our values -- to choose a leader who is looking out for all our country's citizens, not just millionaires, billionaires, and special interests. And I believe that our Convention ought to reflect those same fundamental principles. To ensure that happens, I need you to take an active role and become a part of this event. Sign up today to get updates about the 2012 Convention, be the first to know about news and behind-the-scenes events, and find ways to get involved. You could get to fly out to Charlotte and witness a new round of history in the making. Join our Convention team: http://my.democrats.org/Join-Convention Thank you, Debbie Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz Chair Democratic National Committee No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning. Void where prohibited. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on 10/31/11. Click here to enter without contributing. One winner will receive the following prize package: one round-trip ticket within the continental U.S. to Charlotte, North Carolina and hotel accommodations for one; on a date to be determined by Committee for Charlotte 2012, Inc. (the "Sponsor") in its sole discretion (approximate combined retail value of all prizes $1,250). Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Promotion open only to U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents who are legal residents of 50 United States and District of Columbia and 18 or older (or of majority under applicable law).
