 Here's how I see it: We are locked in a battle for the soul of this nation. If we give Donald Trump eight years in the White House, he will forever and fundamentally alter the character of this nation. I'm running for president to restore our values, rebuild our middle class, and unify this nation. But Pat, these ideas are bigger than just me. No matter who our nominee is, we're all relying on a strong Democratic Party to win the White House and seats nationwide next year. The only way we're going to do that is with a Democratic Party capable of investing in the infrastructure to spread our message, mobilize voters, and get out the vote.
